It's the day a lot of people have been waiting for. Monday was the opening of the Westtown Library.
The library closed in 2012 to save funds. Community leaders were at the library at 2 p.m. to cut the ribbon to make it officially open to the public.
Rosalyn Reese has lived in the community for 30 years. She recently moved and was in town visiting her mother for a few months and decided to stop by.
"I kept checking by and I didn't realize it had closed," Reese said. "You know, we really need this library. It's one of the staples of the community, so I kept checking back by and I saw it on the news that it was going to open soon."
Westtown Library is open Monday through Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
