A clerk with the Georgia Resource Center has confirmed that death row inmate, Warren Lee Hill has been granted a stay of execution as of 6:30 PM on Tuesday night.
Hill was scheduled for execution at 7:00 PM Tuesday, however that stay put in place just before that scheduled time.

According to information provided by the Supreme Court of Georgia, a 5-to-2 decision has led to the stay of execution denial for Warren Lee Hill.
The court has also denied Hill's application to appeal a decision by the Butts County Superior Court dismissing his claim that he's mentally retarded.
Death row inmate Warren Lee Hill is scheduled for execution by lethal injection Tuesday evening at 7 PM for the 1990 killing of Joseph Handspike at Lee County Correctional Institute.
According to information provided by the Georgia Supreme Court, Hill was given the death sentence after bludgeoning Handspike to death. Hill was already serving a life sentence for the murder of his former girlfriend Myra Sylvia Wright.
Hill was granted a stay of execution in 2012 after he appealed to the Georgia Supreme Court over issues with the lethal injection protocol.
Lee lost his appeal before the Georgia Supreme Court February 4th.
