Warrants taken for Rosedale Avenue murder
Albany police say that Monday morning, murder warrants have been taken against 60-year old Donar Rollins for killing his wife and attempting to commit suicide, Sunday night.
On Sunday, 911 dispatchers received a call requesting that officers respond to the incident location in reference to a domestic dispute after the victim, (Mrs. Rollins) and suspect, (Mr. Rollins), had gotten into a verbal altercation.
When officers arrived, they found Mr. Rollins in the living room sitting in a chair with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his chin. His wife was found in the bedroom with a gunshot wound to her face. Both were transported to the hospital by E.M.S. for medical treatment.
Just before 7:15 p.m., officers received notification, from hospital staff, that Natasha Rollins was deceased.
Donar Rollins was transported to a Macon hospital for further medical treatment.
Robbery/Homicide detectives obtained murder warrants against Donar Rollins Monday morning.
This case remains under investigation.
