      Victims catch suspect in Valdsota armed robbery

      Around 7:30 PM Wednesday evening, the Valdosta Police Department responded to the 200 block of Blue Pool Drive in reference to an armed robbery.

      Officers arrived and found one of the victims holding on to Damien Moore, who was placed in custody.

      The victims, 23-year-old Edrick Woods, 24-year-old Bryan Davis and 21-year-old Sharese Williams, indicated that they were on the back porch when Moore approached them, produced a handgun, and then demanded thier money and cell phones.

      Detectives and Crime Laboratory Pesonnel were called to the scene to investigate.

      20-year-old Moore had his face covered, but during the struggle with victims, his face was uncovered and the victims recognized him.

      They were able to hold Moore until officers arrived. The handgun was recovered and determined to have been stolen.

      Moore was transported to the Lowndes County Jail and is being charged with three county of armed robbery, three counts of aggravated assault, burglary, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, theft by stolen property and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
