Veterans job fair returns to Camilla
Southwest Georgia Community Action and the Georgia Department of Labor teamed up for a job fair Thursday.
The fair is the second one they’ve held in Camilla, with 21 employers represented. Most of them came from the region, though some were from as far away as Florida.
The job fair was open to the public, but it was mainly targeted to veterans looking for employment.
“They give so much to us. Thank you for our freedom. We thank them for our freedom, and we want to get out there, and we want to help them also get back to work,” said Joy Council of the Georgia campus of Heavy Equipment College of America.
