      Vehicle rollover at South Madison and West Mercer

      Fire and police officials responded early Wednesday morning to a car that had been struck and rolled over at the corner of west mercer and South Madison.

      According to reports, a little after 8:30 Wednesday morning, 39-year-old Shimono Wright was driving her 2003 Cadillac DeVille on West Mercer when she ran a stop sign and struck a 1993 Chevy Suburban, causing it to roll over.

      The driver of the Chevy, 31-year-old Lavonda Walker was taken to Phoebe Putney--no word on her injuries.

      Wright was cited for a stop sign violation.

      Witnesses at the scene said Wright could not see the stop sign for a large bush that was obstructing her view.
