      Valdosta trio arrested for burglary

      Three Valdosta residents have been arrested for a burglary on McGoggle Lane and linked to to two others.

      According to the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office, 18-year-old Brittany Johnson, 18-year-old Shayla Griffin and 21-year-old Anthony Huewitt were connected to burglary in the 4800 block of McGoggle Lane on June 11 after an investigation.

      The items have been recovered and officials say that they learned the items were going to Atkinson County to be sold.

      During the course of the investigation, they have been linked to other burglaries including ones on Knights Academy Road and Knights Ferry Road.

      Sheriff Chris Prine has stressed that investigators are continuing to interview people and examine forensic evidence that has been collected. Additional charges on these persons and other people are very likely.

      All three have been charged with burglary in the first degree.
