The City of Valdosta is remembering September 11th today with a ceremony to honor the victims.
They started the ceremony with a moment of silence, followed by the Playing of Taps and a Presentation of the Colors.
The mayor and several other speakers spoke of that day; what they remembered and where they are. They stressed that its important for the community to remember that day as well.
Fire Chief J.D. Rice told FOX 31 they hold this ceremony every year and will continue to do so.
