Vagrants suspected in vacant house fire

Next door neighbors claim the fire caused damage to their vinyl siding worth $600

Albany firefighters responded to a vacant house fire early Monday morning.

They got the call around 5:00 a.m. to 1212 Avalon Avenue.

There they found the house fully engulfed in flames.

Fire Chief James Carswell suspects vagrants, but a cause is not known at this time.

No one was found inside the home.

The house next door is claiming the fire caused $600 worth of damage to their vinyl siding.

The case is still under investigation.
