      Unresponsive man sent to the hospital

      UPDATED (11:00 AM):

      Officers responded to 110 East Road early Wednesday morning in reference to a suspicious person call.

      When they arrived, they found a 45-year-old victim, Herbert Williams Jr., shot multiple times lying in a grassy area near the carport.

      Williams was taken to Phoebe Main in critical condition.

      The case remains open with no suspects at this time.

      A 50-year-old male went to 110 East Road and started banging on the door.

      The homeowners opened the door and called the police.

      Albany police and EMS responded and found an unresponsive male with multiple injuries.

      The man was rushed to the hospital; injuries cannot be confirmed at this time.
