United Way to unite under new leader

On Thursday morning, the United Way of Southwest Georgia announced that LaKisha Bryant has been hired on as Chief Executive Officer for the organization.

"By brining LaKisha on board in this position, we hope to continue to cultivate a spirit of pride in the United Way as well as garner more support for our fund development campaigns and enhance the organization as we position for the future" said United Way Board of Directors Chair Jim Deal. He added that "Having LaKIsha as CEO is great for us here locally, because she is a product of this community and passionate about the people in the community. She understands the importance of the relationship between the United Way and our partner agencies."

New United Way of Southwest Georgia LaKisha Bryant said "I'm excited about this opportunity to serve my community and help make a difference in the live of so many that utilize the countless number of services that the partner agencies provide in Southwest Georgia. I'm also equally excited to continue to serve as a model for girls and young women as I lead this organization as the first female to serve as the CEO."
