Ty Ty man charged with October murder
Sheriff Scarbrough reports that Deputy Casey Williamson received information that Golson was at a residence in Ty Ty and went out to investigate that tip.
When he arrived at the home a woman answered the door and claimed that Golson was not there. Police then entered the home and found Golson hiding in a closet.
Officials report that Golson was arrested without incident, and added that the woman at the home, 27-year-old Mattie Mae Monroe, was also arrested on charges of hindering the apprehension of a fugitive.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting Tift County Sheriff's Office with the investigation.
