Two strike it rich as Powerball jackpot grows
The Georgia Lottery has announced that two Southwest Georgia residents have hit the jackpot, but not the $200 million Powerball.
69-year-old retired car salesman Billy Lee Kelly matched five numbers in the August 31 "Fantasy 5" drawing, netting him $239,936.
Kelly says that "it really hasn't sunk in yet," Kelly said. "It's unreal for me to believe it."
While Kelly is enjoying that jackpot, Adel resident Gertrude Kiser won a million dollar prize playing the Georgia Lottery Premium instant game.
The Powerball jackpot continues to grow though, hitting an estimated $203 million for Saturday's drawing.
