While patrolling in the Chehaw Park area, Albany police officers were advised by a park employee that he heard several shots fired around 3 a.m.
Shortly after the report was made, two victims, Tevin Henry and Shontavious Armstrong, showed up at the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
They told police that they were approached by an unknown person who asked them for a cigarette.
After telling the suspect that they didn't have a cigarette, he began shooting.
Henry was hit in the left leg and Armstrong was hit in the right leg.
It is believed that the suspect may have rammed the exit gate at Chehaw with his vehicle.
