Two people arrested for theft after trying to sell race car, trailer

Two Kansas residents are in custody Tuesday after being arrested for theft Monday.

37-year-old Lisa Raub and 41-year-old Benjamin Oliver were arrested and transported to the Crisp County Detention Center.

Deputies were asked to respond to Crisp Motorsports Park around 5:30 p.m.

Lyle Farms reached out to the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office after receiving a call from a citizen stating that an individual was trying to sell a race car and trailer for $5,000. The trailer and car had identifying decals for Lyle Farms.

Deputies, with the help from Perry police, recovered the race car and enclosed trailer valued around $23,780. There was an additional $8,000 worth of damages to both, reported.

Both were charged with one count burglary, one felony count of theft by taking and one count of criminal damage to property first degree.
