Two injured after car strikes house

UPDATE (2:45 PM):

Albany police officials confirm that the driver, 55-year-old Mabel McDonald was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for observation. A five-year-old passenger was also transported to Phoebe with a busted lip.

Officers say McDonald's vehicle left the road for some unknown reason. The vehicle went down an embankment, came up and went through a yard before striking a house.
McDonald was charged with failure to maintain a lane.
There were an unknown amount of people in the house at the time of the accident but no injuries were reported.


A car ran into a house on the 2300 block of Dominion Ct. Sunday morning.

According to Lieutenant Lorenzo Hall with the Albany Fire Department, a woman and two children were in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Lt. Hall says that AFD helped assist the woman out of the vehicle, and she seemed disoriented.

The woman was taken by EMS to the hospital. EMS also transported one child with a busted lip to the hospital for observation.

Battalion Chief Matthew Jefferson says the woman was believed to have a medical condition.
