Lee County commissioners met this evening and began discussing a way of solving the county's trash issues.
Throughout the county citizens are finding it difficult to get ride of their compost materials and are resorting to burning, or just simply leaving those items on the side of the road.
Chairman Rick Muggridge says multiple solutions have been suggested, but all they know for sure is that something needs to be done.
"One of the most frequent calls I get is about people burning their trash and polluting the quality of the air, especially in South Lee County where our population is much more dense," said Muggridge.
One idea is charging citizens $1.00 a month to allow public works to pick up those items, however most commissioners weren't in favor of that suggestion.
