The Leesburg City Council voted in their last meeting to go ahead with the next step of the plan to renovate the city's train depot. Officials say this next step will cost them up to $20,000.
Jim Quinn, the Mayor of Leesburg, says their plan is to turn the depot into a community center.
Quinn also said they attained federal funding for the project in 2008 which totaled $291,000 but he believes when all is said and done it will cost more than that.
The mayor isn't sure when the project will be completed but he says they have been working hard on it for several years now.
