April is known as "Child Abuse Prevention" month and the Exchange Club of Albany was out spreading the word Saturday.
They were at the mall handing out Child Abuse Prevention brochures such as "How to Be a Better Parent." They also had their mascot, 'Time Out Teddy' there to help raise awareness.
Organizers say all too often parents get frustrated and angry and lash out at their children, causing them to do something they regret. Time Out Teddy teaches children and parents to take a breather and calm down before addressing the problem.
