The Tifton Police Department is now offering a $1000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the death of 22-year-old Jessie James Harris II on August 18.
Tifton police also released the following statement:
Mr. Harris, known as "Bam" to family and friends, was the father of a four year old son who was in the house at the time of the murder. We cannot give him, or any of Harris' family and friends, their loved one back. We would like to be able to give them answers and justice.
We believe that someone in the community has information. We sincerely hope that this reward will encourage them to come forward with what they know.
The Tifton Police Department and Georgia Bureau of Investigation are investigating after a man was killed Monday night in Tifton.
Tifton police say that a 22-year-old Jessie James Harris II was found at a residence in the 600 block of Timmons drive shortly after 11 p.m. with a gunshot wound.
Police say that Harris' four-year-old son was inside the home at the time, but was found uninjured.
Police and GBI agents are say they talked to potential witnesses throughout the night and continue to gather potential information.
