Tifton man replaces all old flags downtown

A few months ago FOX 31 told you about a man named Jack Stone. Stone is the owner of Western Auto in Tifton and said he wanted to replace all of the flags downtown by Veteran's Day.

According to Stone, the flags were old and worn and out of respect they needed to be replaced, but he didn't have the money to do it all by himself.

On Friday, just in time for Veteran's Day on the 11th, FOX 31 caught back up with Stone who followed through on his promise. He replaced all of the old flags with new ones downtown; that's over 50 flags.

He said the local exchange club along with a few other local organizations pitched in which is how he was able to afford the new flags.
