With children officially back in school, some areas of Tifton are seeing a little more congestion in certain areas when driving in the morning and afternoon.
Officials with the Board of Education ask drivers to be patient and say things should calm down within a week. They advise parents after a few days not to actually walk in with their kids, just to drop them off. Officials also ask that kids have their things together and backpack on so they're ready to go when you drop them off.
Tift County Sheriff Gene Scarborough said the area around Annie Bell Clark primary school which is on Carpenter Road is already congested so school traffic makes that a little worse in the mornings. He says if you can avoid that area in the morning you might be better off.
