A local park is ready for more than 70 vendors starting early Saturday morning.
Stephen Brimberry has spearheaded the Tift Park Community Market. Brimberry spent Friday preparing the park for all of the people going tomorrow.
They expect hundreds of people to come through between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Last week was the park's inaugural market and organizers say they saw a good turnout despite the rain.
This weekend, new vendors will be a milk truck, a taco truck and a glass blower. Vendors aren't being charged to set up.
"We're not charging them because when we started this, we didn't know what the foot traffic would be like," Brimberry said. "It would be kind of hard to convince someone to leave one venue to come to this one so with the no fee, it's been really a plus."
Brimberry expects to start charging a small fee to vendors next summer to raise money to revitalize the park.
