Three men indicted for Albany armed robbery
A Dougherty County Grand Jury indicted Michael Johnson, Gauffrey Hall and Theodore Jones on Wednesday afternoon for a December armed robbery in Albany.
Officials say Johnson, Hall and Jones reportedly robbed someone at gunpoint on the 900 block of Rood Street, taking more than $300 in cash and a Kindle Fire from the victim.
In an interview with our media partner the Albany Herald, Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards says the men face multiple charges for the crime.
"They were indicted for counts of armed robbery, aggravated assault, burglary and having a gun during the commission of a crime," said Edwards.
Prosecutors say Johnson has also been linked to multiple crimes in Albany. He's currently being held at the Bibb County Jail and officials are working to bring him to Dougherty County to face these charges.
