The hefty price for a quick snack
Southwest Georgia Regional Airport officials are fighting to make your visit more accommodating.
That's why on Tuesday they asked the Albany City Commission for more than $92,000.
The money will be used to house a vending area so people can grab a quick bite before boarding their flight.
The problem they're facing is the amount it takes to build the area, doesn't match the foot traffic.
Airport Director Yvette Aehle said, "we just want to continue on with the passenger experience and let them know that we do care about what they think and what they want but we can't provide. Unfortunately we can't get a Subway, Dunkin Donuts, or Krispy Kreme because there's just not enough traffic."
The Albany city commission will vote on this topic on August 26th.
