Southwest Georgia is heating up this week. Just stepping outside could make you break a sweat. But even with near record breaking temperatures, residents are finding ways to have fun, be safe, and stay cool.
FOX 31 Chief Meteorologist Mike Morrison says this is normal weather for this time of year. "We are going to see 100 degrees and we do see temps like that this time of year" says Morrison. "We set a record back in 1990 of 102, we're in that record territory, it's a scorcher."While temperatures should start to lower back down into the mid-90's Saturday, Morrison says it's still important to take precaution in this weather.
