The American Red Cross is looking for you.
Officials with the organization say volunteers constitute for ninety-five percent of the American Red Cross workforce.
They add volunteers make it possibly to respond to nearly 70,000 disasters every year, most of them home and apartment fires.
Volunteers can choose from specific areas to work. Those areas are: Volunteers management, Disaster services, Disaster Action Team, Disaster Preparedness, and Public Affairs.
Lara Gills, Executive Director says, "they are the life blood of our organization. We couldn't function without them."
