Lee County code enforcement officials were out on the Kinchafoonee Creek today doing their yearly outfall inspection.
They do this once a year to test for toxins and pollution sources. They also test the Muckalee Creek.
Ben Roberts with code enforcement says they didn't find much this year which is a positive sign. He added that they usually don't find anything but even so, it's still important for them to go out and test the waters just incase.
The testing procedure is called IDDE which stands for illicit discharge detection and elimination.
