Albany police say that a 17-year-old teenager was struck by a Ford Expedition Tuesday morning.
Police say that Donte Carter was walking south on Lippitt Drive when he crossed in front of the Expedition driven by 32-year-old Leresa Harris who was travelling east.
After being struck, Carter was taken to the hospital for observation.
Officials say that charges are pending on the conclusion of the investigation.
Officers would like to remind pedestrians to look both ways and cross safely at roadways in heavy traffic areas and school zones especially if there are no crossing guards or crosswalk markings.
