At least 40 people have fallen victim to what authorities are calling a massive debit card fraud case in Sylvester.
Police investigators say debit card numbers form every bank in Sylvester have been compromised.
People started noticing false purchases showing up on their credit card statements.
Officers say there could be more victims and are advising anyone who banks in Sylvester to double check their statements.
Check their accounts on a daily basis, preferably many times and see if there is any activity going on that they have not participated in and if so they need to contact their banks and they need to contact police departments, said Sylvester Police Department Investigator Calvin Cleveland.
Investigators say many of the purchases have come from California, Utah and Nevada.
