Sylvester police clean up on drug busts
The Sylvester Police Department has announced multiple arrests spanning various drug cases across the city.
Officers say that on March 16th, they arrested Tammie Griffin after she attempted to pass a forged prescription at the Walgreens pharmacy.
Griffin has been charged with forgery, attempting to obtain dangerous drugs by fraud, and drugs to be kept in the original container, with other charges still pending.
On April 8th, officers made a traffic stop at the intersection of South Main Street and East Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Timothy Bernard Fowler was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license, improperly displayed tag, possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
Additionally on April 8th, the Sylvester Police Department Drug Unit was assisted on a search warrant of a room at the Worth Inn by members of the Sylvester Police Department and Worth County Sheriff's Office. Inside was Quantia King who was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce and an outstanding warrant from the Worth County Sheriff's Office.
