The Worth County Housing Authority Director that lost his job earlier this month was reinstated on Wednesday according to Worthit2u.net.
Steve Bennett was voted off the board when he failed to turn in paperwork on time. Bennett " who claimed he had personal issues that distracted him " was largely supported by members of public housing who vowed to get him back in his office.
Board members from the City of Sylvester met with the Housing Authority board and decided to reinstate Bennett with a 30-day suspension.
The two weeks since he was voted out of the position will count towards the suspension meaning Bennett can resume his duties as director in two weeks.
