Suspects make a pit stop to rob Pitt Stop

The Dougherty County Police need your help identifying suspects who robbed Pitt Stop Gas station at 3225 block of Sylvester Road - twice.

On Monday May 14, 2012 at 2:07 a.m. three men broke in stealing 3 cartons of Newport cigarettes and two 24-packs of beer. One of the suspects wore a distinctive mask while the other two wore distinctive Chuck Taylor style Converse All Stars. One wore a black pair and the other wore a red pair. Police think the men are between 5 TM8 and 5 TM10 and weigh around 145 pounds.

On Thursday May 17, 2012 at 1:42 a.m. two men broke into the same Pitt Stop and stole $200 worth of Newport cigarettes. The suspects were each wearing Chuck Taylor All Stars.

Detective Thomas Williamson with DCP says they would appreciate any and all tips. If you're hearing about selling cigarettes in your neighborhood or your area, large quantities of them like Newport TMs or even beer and you know it TMs not a gas station - if its TM too good to be true it probably is. Leave it alone, call your local police, Dougherty County Police or you can call Crime Stoppers. If you are found with any of the stolen goods you can be arrested and charged with theft by receiving stolen property says Williamson.

Police believe the suspects may be from the immediate area. At least one has been identified as a black man. If you have any information on who the man are you TMre asked to call the Dougherty County Police at 229-430-6604 or Crime Stoppers at 229-436-8477.
