      Suspect named in Crisp County stabbing

      Crisp County Sheriff's officials need your help finding a man wanted for a stabbing Monday in the 100 block of Rebecca Court.

      Sheriff's officials say that the victim was found to have been stabbed multiple times and was transported by EMS to Crisp Regional Hospital.

      The suspect, 41-year-old, Efren Rontonya Hawkins was released from prison on February 24, 2014 where he served a sentence for stalking charges on the victim.

      After the stabbing, he left the area in the victim's vehicle which was later found on Spires Road just inside Turner County burned.

      Sheriff Hancock has called for assistance from the United State Marshal fugitive squad and the Turner County Sheriff's Office.
