      Sumner Fire Department up and running

      Sumner held their grand opening and ribbing cutting ceremony Monday which gave county and city officials as well as residents a chance to check out the new building and fire trucks.

      The Sumner Fire Department is officially up and running as of Monday afternoon.

      They held their grand opening and ribbing cutting ceremony Monday which gave county and city officials as well as residents a chance to check out the new building and fire trucks.

      Sumner Mayor Don Long says this has been a long process and he's happy to finally see all of the county's hard work pay off.

      Long said what he's most excited about when it comes to having this new fire station is being able to save the residents of Sumner money on their insurance.

      Officials also expect ISO ratings to go down county-wide.
