The principal of the school says around February a few years ago a severe tornado hit Camilla, so during this month he likes to make sure children know where to go and that teachers know what to do.

"They know what to do but we would like to do this especially this time of the year because this is prone tornado weather," said Scott Horton, Principal of Merry Acres Middle School.
