Students donate 900 items to humane society
Students at a Moultrie elementary school have accomplished something to be proud of. In the month of December, students at Hamilton Elementary School donated more than 900 items to a local humane society.
The school only has a little less than 300 students. This was organized by the Student Government Association.
Robin Cauthen and Amy Hardigree are the SGA advisors and say the students are compassionate and many have pets of their own.
"When it comes to thinking about their own pets and what their pets need, they wanted to reach out and help pets that needed things," Cauthen said.
They say the students donated bones, collars, leashes, and a lot more.
