A Dougherty County school bus was stopped at 2216 Liberty Expressway picking up children at their bus stop early Thursday morning.
There were five students already on the bus at this location.
A logging truck traveling in the same direction didn't see the stopped bus until the very last second, swerved, and jack-knifed as it hit the bus in the back corner.
There were no injuries but EMS was dispatched to the scene to check the students.
The driver of the logger truck was cited with following too closely.
The Thursday morning commute has slowed along the Liberty Expressway due to an accident involving a school bus around 6:45 AM.
As of right now, no injuries have been reported but an EMS was sent to the scene to check the children riding the bus.
