Radium Springs Middle Magnet School held the fifth parent meeting/open house tonight of several going on throughout the next month concerning the students transferring from schools that are closing.

School officials say not only will they give presentations about the programs the school offers, they will also give a tour of the school and give parents a chance to ask questions.

Teachers say it's important for parents and prospective students to come to these meetings to get a feel for the school and get more comfortable with it.

Officials told Fox 31 they are expecting to have around 300 new students next fall and in order to accommodate them they are hiring more teachers and re-evaluating how classrooms are set up and how many they have/need.
