Student opinion on tuition hike

Albany Technical College.

Students enrolling at Georgia Technical Colleges can expect an increase in fees this fall.

The cost in tuition will go up by four dollars per credit hour.

This means students at technical colleges will pay $89 per credit hour for standard programs.

This increase may make some wonder if four year schools will follow suit.

I think that it might inspire more people to go the four year route instead of making four year schools go up, said Obio Jones, College Student.

Average tuition for a full 15-hour course load at a technical school will be about $1,335.

This doesn't include books and fees.
