In 1986, a 16-year-old's life was cut short when he was stabbed to death in Moultrie.

Now, over 25 years later, his community is still trying to stop the violence.

That's why the city of Moultrie is having their Community Day.

Organizer Carol Simpson says this day is meant to remember all the lives lost from violence and to remind kids violence is not the answer.

"There are other ways to detour anger, fear bullying other than violence and to just come together and love each other."

This is the 28th year for this event.
