The National Weather Service in Tallahassee and Jacksonville have issued a Heat Advisory unitl seven Sunday evening for all of South Georgia.
Although temperatures are expected to soar into the middle to upper 90's for most neighborhoods, it will feel much hotter.
A Heat Advisory means that for a period of time, it will feel like the temperature is between 108 and 112 degrees Fahrenheit.
The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible.
Be sure to drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun and in the air-conditioner and check up on relatives and neighbors.
If you do have to be outdoors, be sure to wear loose, light colored clothing and take breaks often.
Also, remember to check the backseat; do NOT leave children or pets inside of a vehicle in the heat.
