Sisters arrested for meth trafficking in Coffee County
Two sisters in Coffee County have been charged with meth trafficking after a traffic stop kicked off the investigation.
Officials with the Coffee County Sheriff's Office say that on August 4, a K-9 unit conducted a traffic stop on 44-year-old Christina Lott.
During a search of the car consented to by Lott, officers found one and a half ounces of meth, which led to her arrest.
Officers then started surveillance and searches that resulted in the arrest of her sister 42-year-old Krystel Merritt on September 18.
Merritt was found with four ounces of meth according to officers during a search.
