The Douglas Police Department have released further details involving this case, stating that the dispute was between Katrena Reed and Joseph Reed.

Katrena Reed was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault after she fire several shots, one of which hit Alfreda Caldwell who was seated inside the vehicle.

Caldwell was transported to Coffee Regional Medical Center and later transported to Savannah Memorial Hospital. She has reportedly since been released.

This investigation is still ongoing, and we will keep you updated as more details become available.


Officials with the Douglas Police Department have confirmed that a shooting occurred Saturday morning at the "Gate Store" on Bowens Mill Road.

The shooting reportedly stemmed from an argument between spouses, with the wife opening fire at the convenience store.

One of the shots penetrated a vehicle at the scene and a female passenger inside was hit in the head. She was transported to nearby Coffee Regional Medical Center and later airlifted to Savannah Memorial Hospital.

As of now the Douglas Police Department is reporting that the wife has been charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault.
