Serial thief wanted by DCP
Dougherty County Police need your help catching a man connected to multiple thefts.
Gregory Florence,44, has three active cases that police are pursuing. In the first case reporter on April Florence rented a lawnmower worth more than $5,000 from Westover Lawn and Garden then pawned it in Thomasville for a few hundred dollars. Florence faces theft by taking and theft by deception charges in this case.
In the second case on April 10, 2012 Florence sold a stolen engine hoist also known as a cherry picker to Quick Cash and Pawn for a few hundred dollars. The machine wasn't noticed as missing by the owner until May 14, 2012. Florence faces theft by deception and theft by receiving stolen property in this case.
In the third case on May 14, 2012 Florence sold a stolen 1987 Mercedes for scrap metal at Blaze Recycling. He was accompanied by Lorenzo Lewis. Both men face charges of theft by coercion and theft by deception in this case.
