Mon, 26 Aug 2013 21:42:48 GMT — A murder case from 2010 was laid to rest this afternoon, as 26-year-old Rico Jones was sentenced to life in prison. Dougherty County District Attorney, Greg Edwards reports that Jones was sentenced on charges of child cruelty in the second degree. That sentence revolves around the 2010 murder of a 3-year-old girl, who was the daughter of Jones' girlfriend. Jones' full sentence includes life in prison with the possibility of parole, plus 10-years. He was convicted by a jury in July of 2013.
