An overturned 18-wheeler tied up the evening commute on Clark Avenue Wednesday night.
Albany police say John Christopher Quinn, 43, was exiting the Liberty Expressway when his truck shifted and overturned.
APD officials say Quinn was charged with DUI, failure to maintain lane and going too fast for conditions. Cops say Quinn was driving too fast to make the exit and was five times over the legal alcohol limit for a truck driver. He has been transported to the Dougherty County Jail.
Passenger Dawn Johnston, 39, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. As of 10 p.m. on Wednesday, APD officials say she had still not been admitted at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Quinn was OK.
