A man driving the getaway car during a robbery is behind bars.

Ray Dykes III was arrested Monday afternoon in the 200 block of Georgia Power Road.

Dykes is the driver of the car that was used in the robbery at the Stop & Shop on June 3rd.

Police say they couldn't of done this without the publics help.

Lt. Chad Kirkpatrick says, "we don't recommend chasing after the suspects but if you can get a tag number safely that is great, that was one of the big pieces of evidence that helped us in this case."

Dykes has been charged with one count of armed robbery, two counts of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a fire arm during the commission of a felony.
