Lee County Sheriff's deputies lent a helping hand to Albany police and the Department of Community of Supervision after finding one of the persons of interest sought in the death of Javis Walker.

Deputies say that 22-year-old Cohen Scott Mathews is in custody after being caught Wednesday morning around 7:15 in the 100 block of Crow Drive in Leesburg.

Mathews was taken into custody for an arrest warrant of parole violation.

Sheriff's officials say that Mathews was taken into custody without incident, but did learn that 22-year-old Lisa Marie Grigg, who turned herself in to Albany police Tuesday afternoon, was his girlfriend.

Deputies say they then learned that Grigg was allegedly hiding Mathews from officers.

Grigg is now facing charges in Lee County of hindering the apprehension of a criminal, marijuana less than an ounce and possession of drug related objects.

Albany police still need your help finding one more person of interest in connection to the case: 32-year-old Heather Nicole Jeffcoat.

If you have any information on Jeffcoat's whereabouts, you are asked to contact Albany police at (229)431-3100 or Albany Crimestoppers at (229)436-TIPS.
