Salvation Army stops Sunday dinners

The Salvation Army is no longer serving dinner to the hungry on Sunday, but for a good cause.

About two years ago, the Salvation Army and the First Methodist Church made an agreement to eliminate duplication of services.

Major Kelly English tells FOX 31 that once he was made aware of this prior agreement, he has started sending volunteer to First Methodist Sunday nights to help serve.

The Salvation Army will continue serving all other meals at their scheduled times.
